Since buying the wood I've also picked up quite a few books with a thirst for knowledge. So here's a few reviews for you.

Chainsaw Course

I signed up for a one day introduction to chainsaw course at the Woodland Enterprise Centre at Flimwell via Woodnet. It's aimed at private users wanting some instruction and was a very worthwhile day.

Log Store

One of the main reasons for buying the wood was to provide our house with firewood for the winter months. We only have a small wood burning stove in the living room so it's not significant volumes needed at the moment.

Welcome

What happens when a town dwelling office bound guy buys a small parcel of woodland? I'll be finding out as I record my journey into land ownership. Big trees, an axe and a little enthusiasm. What could possibly go wrong!

Going forward I intend to keep track of my voyage of discovery as I learn a little more of the nature around me and maybe a little about myself along the way too.
